Shooting

For The Game Shooter
Why not get into the country spirit & book your wild duck shoot with us?
You can stay in one of our country cottages or book the main house should you like to stay with us. For larger events, exclusive hire of the entire Maunsel Estate may be possible; please just let us know your requirements.
Complete your stay with a hearty ‘Maunsel Supper’! We don’t do small portions so you will be well fed & watered! This is a very popular seasonal activity so please contact the estate office as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Set in a perfect location for country pursuits, for Game or Clay shooting, our in house professional Instructor William Edwards ( better known as Big Will ) is one of only 216 A.P.S.I Shotgun Coaches Worldwide. Will's experience is used from competition course building and media consultant to driver/loader/instructor on driven game days. Such Prestigious shooting grounds such as The Royal Berkshire, The West London and Holland & Holland, will only employ members of the A.P.S.I .

Whether you want to entertain your corporate clients with a multi function event, lets say, Quad bikes, archery, a clay shoot and assault course to a small gathering of friends for a informal morning of fun,  Will is always on hand to oversee the shooting activities. In his own words  Our clay shooting packages are a real hoot, you cant help but get competitive with your mates, its a real adrenalin rush combined stress buster when you see the clay target turn in to a ball of dust with a direct hit. It's so rewarding when you get  a client who is very apprehensive and has never shot before, then goes on to win the day . If you have never tried it, give it a go, you will be hooked.

We are also planning some "Fun days" to include activities such as clay pigeon shooting, game cookery and gun dog training, with full hospitality in the main house and accommodation if required. Dates to be confirmed. However, if you are interested in attending one of these days please contact the estate office to register your interest and details will be sent in due course.
